Back again for a fourth year, the Celtic Song Sessions at Black Rabbit seeks to initiate the unsuspecting public into the joys of singing Celtic songs in a pub. Led by Sons and Daughters of Erin (SADOE) board director (and member of local Irish style band Plastic Paddy) Doyle Stewart, we welcome singers (and players) of all abilities to join in the rendering of 5 or ten Irish or Scots songs at each 1 hour session. If you have a tune-able musical instrument (drums are OK), you're also welcome to bring it along; and harmony singing is a plus, as we usually do a few ballads and aires as well. There are usually plenty of printed song sheets to follow, and plenty of time before, during and after for ordering food and drink, so please join us. Workshop (7-9:30 pm). Dive into the world of sensuality, trust, and connection as you explore the beauty of Shibari. During the class, our experienced instructor from Reno Rope Bite will guide you through various terms, techniques, and practices of intention, safety, and consent. We'll then explore the art of tying knots and creating visually stunning patterns, such as single-column tie, double-column-tie, Hojo cuff, and Armbinder demo. Each pair needs about 60 ft of rope for the armbinder. If you do not have Shibari rope, we will be selling it at the class or you can add it on to this ticket (see below). Will there be models/bottoms available to practice tying on during classes/workshops? No. Many solo attendees have been able to practice together, even becoming rope friends outside events. However, if you are attending solo expect to practice on yourself. Do not expect others to be available to you. **Consent Rules/Etiquette** The space will be open for (non-sexual) play the whole evening. Alcohol is served so please be aware of your consumption and anyone who you may tie with. Please only engage in situations that are within the risk profiles of everyone involved. No sexual play is allowed; no nudity No interrupting scenes/persons tying (unless previously discussed). No touching of people or their belongings without their consent. No taking photos or videos of anyone without their consent (please pay attention to who might be tying around you/in the background before doing so). ______________________________________________________________________ CONSENT POLICY This is a safe space for everyone.
